AVRA Student Transportation, LLC runs 7D student transportation for school districts in Massachusetts. This page says what we collect, why, and who to ask about it.

What we collect

  • Quote requests and driver or monitor applications: the name, organization, email, phone, and details you type into a form on this site or send us by email. Forms on this site open your own email app; nothing is stored on the website.
  • Phone calls to dispatch: the caller's name, number, and the reason for the call, written into the dispatch log so the next shift knows what was said.
  • GPS location of every van while it is on a route, and in-van camera video and audio. Both exist for student safety and for answering questions from districts and families about a specific ride.

Student information

Districts and collaboratives give us the student information needed to run a route: name, address, school, pickup and drop-off times, emergency contacts, and the transportation section of the IEP. We receive it under contract and handle it as a school official under FERPA.

  • It is used only to run the route and to communicate with the student's school and guardians.
  • It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for anything outside the contract.
  • It is seen only by the driver and monitor on that route, dispatch, and the operations manager.
  • It is kept for as long as the district's contract requires and then deleted.

Camera footage

In-van camera footage is kept for 30 days and then overwritten. If a district, guardian, or staff member reports an incident, the footage for that ride is saved until the review is closed. Footage is shared only with the district that contracts the route, with guardians of a student on the ride when the district approves, and with law enforcement when required.

Website

This site does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics at this time. It loads a typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests that file from Google when a page opens. We do not set cookies.

Requests about student records should also go through your district's special education office, which owns the record.
